London, UK, 24 July, 2008 – Toshiba Computer Systems Division today announced the launch of the Portégé M800 - a style-focused, limited-edition laptop which complements its existing consumer line-up.
The Portégé M800 successfully combines specifications and style without compromising in any area. It features a fresh pearl-white finish, with stylish silver contrasting and a white LED outline, highlighting Toshiba’s commitment to design and innovation – as characterised by the existing Satellite range of laptops launched earlier this year.
Processing power is provided by new Intel® Centrino 2 processor technology, which offer a step forward in wireless connectivity, battery life and high-definition multimedia performance. Graphics and images handled by Intel GMA graphics chips, with each model also featuring a 13.3” WXGA TruBrite screen to guarantee users resolution and picture clarity.
A DVD SuperMulti drive offers support for optical disc formats, and an integrated web-camera and microphone offers support for video conferencing and high quality voice calls over IP networks. The webcam also supports Toshiba Face Recognition Technology, allowing swift user log-on using unique facial features as an alternative to passwords. White illuminated feather-touch buttons provide intuitive control of a number of multimedia entertainment features.
Weighing two kilos, Toshiba’s Portégé M800 is also as portable as it is impressive. With a slim, attractive design and an extensive spec, the M800 is as perfect for the style-conscious business professional as it is for the style-conscious consumer – providing versatility, style and substance all in one slim-line package.
